Apple's
litigation team is looking for an energetic person with strong computer
forensic skills, system administration experience, and end-user support
experience to join a fast-paced and dynamic team responsible for
handling Apple's litigation matters. This is primarily a technical
position, with a dual focus on electronic discovery, on one hand, and
system administration and end-user support, on the other. The
candidate, reporting to Apple's e-Discovery Manager, will work in a
hands-on capacity with Apple internal and external lawyers and IT
personnel to identify, preserve, collect and analyze
electronically-stored information for litigation matters. In addition,
the candidate will provide day-to-day end-user system support to the
lawyers, paralegals and administrative staff in the litigation group.
He or she also will assist in the creation, development and management
of databases and other systems for managing litigation, including
tracking electronic information and compliance with discovery
obligations.
Bachelor degree required. Strong technology
background (minimum 3 years of IT/computer forensics/system
administration), including Mac OS and Unix systems experience,
required. Technical expertise to support end users and systems in a Mac
OS X environment required. Strong analytical and verbal skills
required.
Other highly desired qualifications:
Experience working with digital forensic data.
Familiarity with HFS, HFS+, FAT32, NTFS file systems.
Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, encryption algorithms, and security architectures
Knowledgeable in securing Oracle, MySQL, and FileMaker Pro databases.
Experience identifying, acquiring, preserving, and analyzing digital evidence.
Ability to develop and implement data processing procedures.
Ability to create, maintain and manage databases and other systems for retaining and tracking electronically-stored information.
Familiarity with general computer forensic practices and tools such as BlackBag Macintosh Forensic Suite, FTK, EnCase.
General computer forensic certification and/or Mac forensic certification.
Experience in an IT function at a large law firm, law enforcement agency and/or high tech company.

–Experience with Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP or Vista, Solaris, Linux, Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, Encase, Paraben, FTK, or ILook preferred
–TS/SCI clearance preferred - Candidates
